§ Mr. Warbeyasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the total gross income received by all companies, including those in banking, insurance and finance, in the form of interest payments during each of the years 1955–61 inclusive.
§ Sir Edward BoyleFigures for receipts of interest by companies are not available. I would, however, draw the attention of the hon. Member to Table 26 of the Blue BookNational Income and Expenditure 1961, in which the heading "Non-trading incomes earned in the United Kingdom" includes receipts by companies of interest, dividends and rents. The figures are given up to 1960 inclusive. Estimates for 1961 are not yet available. The figures relate to receipts from other sectors and exclude payments from one company to another.
