asked the Minister of Transport if he will make a statement regarding his experiment with traffic coming from the right at the Gants Hill roundabout.

The results so far are encouraging. The tendency for the roundabout to block at peak times has been reduced and traffic circulation improved. The experiment will be continued to test its effectiveness in peak summer conditions. Some supplementary measures are being considered for trial after completion of the road works which are shortly to be carried out to increase the capacity of the roundabout.
