§ 59. Mr. Awberyasked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance if he is aware of the hardships suffered by widows under 50 years of age without children, receiving a pension of 10s. a week, who have to pay for insurance stamps on their cards, many of whom are not ill enough to claim sickness benefit but are still incapacitated for work; and if he will take early steps to remedy these hardships.
§ Mrs. ThatcherI would refer the hon. Member to my right hon. Friend's speech on 13th December last on the Report stage of the Family Allowances and National Insurance Bill, to which I have nothing to add.
