HC Deb 26 February 1962 vol 654 c99W
59. Mr. Awbery

asked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance if he is aware of the hardships suffered by widows under 50 years of age without children, receiving a pension of 10s. a week, who have to pay for insurance stamps on their cards, many of whom are not ill enough to claim sickness benefit but are still incapacitated for work; and if he will take early steps to remedy these hardships.

Mrs. Thatcher

I would refer the hon. Member to my right hon. Friend's speech on 13th December last on the Report stage of the Family Allowances and National Insurance Bill, to which I have nothing to add.
