asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give an estimate of the cost of road accidents in Scotland in 1960 and in 1961, respectively.

Mr. Maclay

The Road Research Laboratory is at present investigating the costs of road accidents in 1961 and I will write to the hon. Member when its estimates are available.
