§ 48. Mr. Biggs-Davisonasked the President of the Board of Trade what is the increase, expressed both as a percentage and in pounds sterling, of United Kingdom exports to Canada since Mr. Diefenbaker took office; and to what extent the United Kingdom's unfavourable balance of trade with Canada has been redressed.
§ Mr. ErrollMy hon. Friend can ascertain the increase in our exports to Canada between 1957, when Mr. Diefenbaker took office, and 1961 from the Trade and Navigation Accounts. The balance of trade in these two years was almost exactly the same, although the level of trade now is higher in both directions.
