HC Deb 20 February 1962 vol 654 c25W
58. Mr. Sorensen

asked the President of the Board of Trade, in view of the uncertainty and lack of adequate information in respect of the correct marking of goods imported into this country from foreign and Commonwealth countries, if he will take steps to ensure that all imports are correctly marked and the exporters are fully acquainted with the appropriate regulations.

Mr. Erroll

I doubt if those actually concerned with importing goods into this country are unaware of what is required in the way of marking. But in any event full information is available to inquirers from my Department and from the Customs.
