HC Deb 20 February 1962 vol 654 c28W
70. Mr. Brockway

asked the Parliamentary Secretary for Science under what conditions the results of research by the Atomic Energy Authority and the use of its patents and experience are licensed to private industries; and what financial recognition these services receive.

Mr. Denzil Freeth

The Atomic Energy Authority licenses private industry to use its patents and the information arising from its research under agreements based on normal commercial practice. The Authority assesses its charges on the value of the information passed or the licensing right granted, and its revenues from this source are on the increase.
