§ Mr. Owenasked the Minister of Power whether he is aware of the selective price increases of industrial coals in Scotland, and the impact of such increases upon the major industries; and whether he will make a statement on Government action dealing with this matter.
§ Mr. WoodI carefully considered the effects of the National Coal Board's proposals on Scottish industry, but in view of the heavy operating losses being incurred in Scotland and elsewhere, I4W decided that the Board's proposal to make selective price increases in those areas must be accepted.
