§ Sir C. Osborneasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will break down the number of immigrants from Commonwealth countries, which in 1961 numbered 136,000, into men, women and children.
§ Mr. RentonChildren under 16 have been counted separately only since 1st July, 1961. The net inward balance of movement from those Commonwealth countries for which figures are available was estimated at 52,500 for the first half of the year, made up of 32,500 males and 20,000 females. For the second half of the year it was estimated at 83,500, made up of 50,000 men, 24,700 women aria 8,800 children.
