HC Deb 21 December 1962 vol 669 cc255-6W
Captain Kerby

asked the Attorney-General if he is aware that doubt exists as to whether a consumer of water is legally entitled to refuse to pay his water rates in cases where the local authority or water supply company adulterates the water with fluoride without his express permission; and if he will introduce amending legislation to clarify the matter.

The Attorney-General

I am not aware that any doubt exists about the duty of a consumer of water to continue to pay his water rates in the event of fluorides being added to any supply of water to the public.
