HC Deb 21 December 1962 vol 669 c273W
Mr. Driberg

asked the Postmaster-General if he is aware that a post-card addressed to the hon. Member for Barking to the Table Office of the House of Commons, posted at 7.50 p.m. on 17th December in a pillar box in Holborn, W.C.1, on which is advertised a collection at 9 p.m., was not delivered at the Table Office until 3.50 p.m. on 18th December, and was postmarked 18th December; why this communication was not collected on 17th December or was wrongly postmarked and if he will seek to ensure that mail sent On Her Majesty's Service to the authorities of the House is handled promptly even at seasons when some delay is customary.

Miss Pike

I am having inquiry made into the matter and will write to the hon. Member.
