HC Deb 21 December 1962 vol 669 cc275-6W
Brigadier Clarke

asked the Parliamentary Secretary for Science why he is spending public funds on research into integral boiling reactors when such reactors are already available from British firms.

Mr. Denzil Freeth

I am informed that there are no integral boiling reactors already developed and available from British firms. Research on such reactors is being done by British firms under contract to the Atomic Energy Authority as part of the Government's research programme.
