HC Deb 20 December 1962 vol 669 cc249-50W
Mr. Gresham Cooke

asked the Minister of Public Building and Works what representations he has received requesting that motor traffic should temporarily be permitted to use the roads of Richmond Park for a short period after dusk while the present difficult traffic conditions caused by road works at Ham on the A.307 continue.

Mr. Rippon

I have received a number of letters from hon. Members, local authorities, and motorists asking me to permit motor vehicles to use the roads in Richmond Park after dark while road works are in progress at Ham.

Mr. Gresham Cooke

asked the Minister of Public Building and Works if, in order to alleviate the inconvenience caused to rush-hour travellers by the road works at Ham on the A.307, he will temporarily alter from dusk to 7 p.m. the time at which the roads in Richmond Park between the Richmond and Kingston gates are closed to traffic.

Mr. Rippon

No.
