HC Deb 20 December 1962 vol 669 cc241-2W
Mr. Mason

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many civil servants in his Department in the past 10 years, giving the ranks, went within two years of retirement or resignation to other jobs and sought permission within the ruling of paragraph 5 of Command Paper No. 5517, specifying which subsection of that paragraph was involved and the firm involved in each case.

Mr. Fisher

One, of Permanent Secretary rank. The firm concerned was Harrisons and Crosfield Ltd.

This case does not appear to have fallen precisely under any of the subsections of paragraph 5 of the Command Paper. Approval was sought, and granted, purely as a matter of general propriety.
