§ Mr. Delargyasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what steps have been taken within the last six months to combat the cement dust nuisance in West Thurrock.
§ Mr. CorfieldA new electrical dust precipitator replacing an older unit has been fitted on one cement kiln at the Metropolitan Works. It has been agreed that the precipitator on the other kiln will be rebuilt or replaced. Two kilns 227W at the Wouldham Works which were not fitted with precipitators have been shut down.
