HC Deb 18 December 1962 vol 669 cc153-4W
35. Mr. Hannan

asked the Postmaster-General whether he will make arrangements for a team of technical experts to visit the Bell Telephone Laboratories in the United States of America before final agreement is reached for transferring work from the Dollis Hill Laboratories.

Miss Pike

Our experts visit the Bell Telephone Laboratories in the U.S.A. as the need arises. I see no reason for a special visit at present, but we will certainly keep the hon. Member's suggestion in mind.

37. Mr. Small

asked the Postmaster-General if he will make an estimate of the cost of moving the Engineering Research Laboratory at Dollis Hill to the Clyde Valley.

38. Mr. Bence

asked the Postmaster-General if he will make an estimate of the cost of moving the Engineering Research Laboratory at Dollis Hill to Harlow.

Miss Pike

I am unable to quote an estimate of overall costs until I have decided where the Research Station should go.
