§ Sir E. BoyleOf students entering three-year courses of general training in 1961–62 about 37 per cent. of the men and 39 per cent. of the women had two or more passes at "A" level—compared with about 35 per cent. of both men and women in 1960–61—and a further 25 per cent. had one pass at "A" level.
