HC Deb 05 December 1962 vol 668 c176W
59. Mr. Snow

asked the Minister of Transport what representations he has received concerning the need to discourage heavily laden lorries going through the centre of the City of Lichfield in view of existing and convenient bypasses; and what replies he has sent.

Mr. Hay

We have recently been asked to consider proposals for prohibiting the use of certain roads in Lichfield by goods vehicles of more than three tons unladen weight unless they require access to premises in Lichfield. We are considering these proposals.
