§ Mr. RipponThe reconstruction of Nos. 10, 11 and 12 Downing Street was originally estimated to cost £500,000 and was expected to be complete in August, 1962. Much additional work has been found necessary and this, together with higher costs of labour and material and the effect of stoppages, has increased the cost which is expected to154W be at least £900,000. The expected completion date is now August, 1963. The main contract for the work is on a cost-plus fixed fee basis.
