asked the Postmaster-General what special measures are being taken to reduce the number of postal packets lost or strayed in transit, particularly in the London area.

We take great pains at all times to prevent postal packets going astray in the post. If my hon. Friend has in mind any particular instance in which we have not been successful and will let me have details, I will gladly have inquiries made.
