§ Mr. R. A. ButlerAs already announced, Her Majesty's Government are making available, in addition to £3.5 million in grants and £1.1 million in Exchequer Loans already allocated under the current C.D. and W. Act, a further £1 million in grants and up to £1.9 million in Exchequer loans in the period up to 31st March, 1964, towards the costs of the Nyasaland Government's Development Plan for 1962–65.
As regards the remainder of the question, it is estimated that approximately 9 per cent. of the active adult male population emigrates annually.
