HC Deb 03 December 1962 vol 668 c138W
Mr. J. Howard

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will take steps to increase the amount which may be repaid by the Director of Savings on death without the production of the probate of a will or letters of administration from the sum of £100, referred to in form SB 202A issued by the Post Office Savings Department, to £500.

Mr. du Cann

The present limit of £100 applies in many other fields besides the Post Office Savings Department. I am consulting with my right hon. Friend the Postmaster-General and other Ministers concerned to see whether some increase in the limit would now be justified.
