§ Mr. Dribergasked the Minister of Health, if he will give details of existing facilities for the care and training of severely handicapped children; if he will give an assurance that these are adequate for the accommodation of the babies born or likely to be born deformed as a result of the use of thalidomide by their mothers; and if he will make special provision for the 152W rehabilitation of these children, on the lines of the experiments conducted successfully in orthopaedic clinics at the universities of Heidelberg and Munster, Westphalia, details of which have been sent to him.
§ Mr. PowellHospital orthopaedic and paediatric departments; limb-fitting centres; and residential accommodation and schools provided by local authorities and voluntary bodies. These are adequate at present, but if necessary can be expanded. Results of German experiments are known and utilised.
