§ Dr. A. Thompsonasked the Civil Lord of the Admiralty what consultations he had respectively with the Scottish National Housing Company Limited and the trades unions representing Admiralty employees, before agreeing to the proposed rent increases for Scottish National Housing Company houses in the Rosyth area.
§ Mr. C. Ian Orr-EwingThe Admiralty was consulted by the Department of Health for Scotland about the proposed rent increases and agreed to them. The tenants of the houses in question have been given 6 weeks' notice of the new rents which will range between 13s. and 25s. a week. No representations on the subject have been received from trade unions representing Admiralty employees and no specific consultations with the trade unions have therefore been held.
