§ Mr. MacArthurasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many youths have been committed to the Perth detention centre during the latest convenient period of twelve months; and what proportion was convicted of crimes of violence against the person.
§ Mr. MaclayDuring the twelve months ending 31st December, 1961, 311 youths were committed to the Perth Detention Centre. Of this number 27 (8.7 per cent.) were convicted of crimes of violence against the person.
