§ Mr. N. MacphersonThere are at present some 25,000 jobs in prospect from new building and other developments reported to the Board of Trade for the West of Scotland. These cover a wide range of industries with employment opportunities for all kinds of workers.
§ 46. Mr. Millanasked the President of the Board of Trade if his attention has been drawn to the serious unemployment position in the West of Scotland following the threatened redundancies at Rolls Royce Limited in Glasgow and Lanarkshire; and what action he is taking to remedy the situation.
