§ 41. Mr. Masonasked the Minister of Power what approvals he has recently given the National Coal Board regarding opencast coal mining proposals; and what proposals he has for sanctioning new sites in Yorkshire, particularly in the Barnsley area.
§ Mr. GeorgeSince the beginning of November last year my right hon. Friend has authorised the working of eight sites under the Opencast Coal Act. He has not received any application to work sites in Yorkshire.
