Mr. J. H. Osborn

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will give figures showing the totals of the assistance provided to all the less developed countries, including the Commonwealth and Colonies, from Great Britain during the last three years; how much of this aid was from Government sources: and how much was private investment.

The figures are as follows. (Figures for private investment are available only on a calendar year basis, and figures for assistance from Government funds are not yet available for the financial year 1961–62).
