asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) what professional or technical qualifications are required of inspectors for the administration of the Cruelty to Animals Act, 1876;

(2) how many inspectors are employed full-time by his Department with responsibility for the administration of the Cruelty to Animals Act, 1876; and how many are employed part-time.

There are six inspectors under the Cruelty to Animals Act, 1876, all of whom are required to have medical qualifications. There are no part-time inspectors.
