HC Deb 16 April 1962 vol 658 c13W
Mr. Boyden

asked the Minister of Labour how many men and women in the Bishop Auckland travel-to-work area are at present on short-time working; and which trades are particularly affected.

Mr. Green

According to reports received at my local offices, there were 135 men on short time in the week ending 13th April; the industries affected were iron and steel and fluorspar mining. No women were reported to be on short time.
