§ Mr. MarplesThe requirements are set out in a memorandum issued to applicants, a copy of which I am sending to my hon. Friend. The main items are wide driving experience, a knowledge of the Highway Code and of road safety matters, an adequate educational standard, and personal qualities which equip the candidate for dealing with the public.
