§ Mr. Tilneyasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies when the loan assistance promised to the Uganda Government of £4,250,000 towards the cost of the compensation scheme for overseas officers and the £1,750,000 towards the costs of the commutation of their pensions will begin to be made available.
§ Mr. MaudlingIssues from these loans have recently been sought by the Uganda Government and it is intended to make such issues as are necessary from the Civil Contingencies Fund pending the presentation to Parliament of a Supplementary Estimate at the earliest opportunity.
