§ 78. Mr. Abseasked the Attorney-General whether he is aware that the Law Reform (Limitation of Actions) Act, 1954, is causing hardship to sufferers from pneumoconiosis by cutting off their legal right to action before they can become aware of the disease; whether he has considered the memorandum of the Faculty of Advocates which has been sent to him calling for a reform of the existing limitation law; and what action he intends to take, following upon the decision of Cartledge v. Joplin and Sons, to enable miners to retain their right of action for a reasonable period after they are known to be pneumoconiosis sufferers.
