§ 61. Mr. Wadeasked the Minister of Health how many beds in hospitals in England and Wales are at present not occupied owing to shortage of staff.
§ Mr. PowellBeds returned as "unused for lack of staff" totalled 9,849 at 30th September, 1961; but this total includes wards closed for other reasons and not intended to be brought into use again. I am considering how the returns can be improved.
