Mrs. Butlerasked the Parliamentary Secretary for Science if he will ask the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research to refer the question of lipstick 33W dyes and their possible effects on health to the British Industrial Biological Research Association for examination.
§ Mr. Denzil FreethThis research association plans to include in its programme basic research to establish whether a hazard exists from the colouring matters used in lipsticks. It now operates an information service which is available to members of the research association.
