HC Deb 02 April 1962 vol 657 c10W
62. Mr. Holt

asked the Minister of Health what precautions were taken to ensure that Mohammed Aiyzim Rehman, now in Witton Hospital, Birmingham, as a smallpox suspect, and who arrived in Great Britain a week ago, was not in a position to pass on his infection to other people.

Mr. Powell

He was found, on arrival at London Airport, to have a valid international certificate of vaccination against smallpox. His illness was diagnosed as chickenpox on 24th March.
