asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what effect the forthcoming revaluation will have on rent control.

None. The rateable value for determining whether or not a house remains in control is that shown in the valuation list at 7th November, 1956,

Discussions on this subject with Soviet officials were conducted in Moscow by officials of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and of Her Majesty's Embassy from 23rd February until 6th March, when they were adjourned because a number of problems had arisen on which both delegations wished to consult their Governments. Her Majesty's Government are keeping in touch with the Soviet Government through the diplomatic channel.
