Priceasked the Minister of Power how many miles of cross-country pipe-line, as defined in the Pipe-Lines Bill (Lords) existed in the United Kingdom on 1st March, 1962; and how the mileage was divided between pipelines owned by public utilities and Government Departments on the one hand and private concerns on the other.
§ Mr. WoodOf the existing cross-country lines to which the Bill applies, about 1,200 miles are owned by the Government and about 220 miles by the oil companies.
