asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what representations he has received from Dunfermline Athletic Football Club in respect of the issue of visas for the Yugoslav football club, Vardar, which is to play Dunfermline in the European Cup Winners' Tournament; and what action he has taken.

The Secretary of the Dunfermline Club wrote to my right hon. Friend the Lord Privy Seal on 15th October, with a view to avoiding any possible delay or difficulty in the grant of visas to the players and officials of the Vardar Club, or to commentators and supporters who wished to attend the match on 25th October. All visas applied for were promptly granted.
