§ Mr. Owenasked the Postmaster-General what progress is being made with the reorganisation of Morpeth General Post Office; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. BevinsAs the hon. Member is aware, I plan to provide a completely new head post office at Morpeth, and building work should start in about three years. In the meantime some improvements are being made in the existing public office. I am sorry to say that these are behind schedule, but the "all-purpose working" counter should be in use by Christmas.
