§ Mr. SandysInformation, accommodation and other services are provided by the British Council for students on arrival in Britain from independent countries of the Commonwealth and from Colonial territories. Details are given on pages 6 to 8 of the HandbookOverseas Students in Britain, of which I am sending a copy to the hon. Member.
The Council co-operates closely with educational authorities and voluntary organisations who make a valuable contribution to the welfare of Commonwealth students. Assistance is also given by Commonwealth High Commissions and Students Offices in London.
