§ 74. Mr. Randallasked the Postmaster General if he will now review the present standard regarding the provision of post offices in town areas, having regard to the expansion of Post Office business and the substantial increase in users of counter services since the present standard was introduced.

Friend is satisfied that the broad standards to which we work in these cases are reasonable; but we do keep a close watch on their application to ensure that they are applied flexibly. Our aim is to use our resources as equitably as we can to meet the needs of areas where business is expanding.
