§ 52. Mr. Bairdasked the Minister of Health why there is a large pay differential between medical laboratory technicians in the Civil Service and those employed in the National Health Service; how long negotiations have been going on through the National Whitley Council for comparity; and why there has been a delay in coming to a decision.
§ Mr. PowellThe appropriate Whitley Council reached agreement on 22nd November on new salaries reflecting agreed comparisons with the scientific Civil Service. There has been no undue delay. The date of implementation is still to be fixed.
