HC Deb 27 November 1961 vol 650 cc14-5W
98. Mr. Chapman

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that some individuals and voluntary groups who have collected parcels of clothing and food for relatives and friends in British Honduras, following the hurricane, find the air mail rates prohibitive; and whether, as a temporary measure to help relieve this distress, he will reduce the rates substantially for such parcels.

Miss Pike

While my right hon. Friend has the greatest sympathy with the people of British Honduras in their present plight, he is sorry that he cannot do as the hon. Member asks without being prepared to make similar concessions over a much wider field.
