§ Mr. Leaveyasked the Minister of Transport whether he will give a general direction to the British Transport Commission that they should, in considering the design of new buildings and equipment, under the reorganisation plans, seek the help of the Council of Industrial Design.
§ Mr. MarplesNo. This is a matter for the Commission. I understand that where appropriate they consult the Royal Fine Art Commission in architectural matters of major importance. They are in close touch with the Council of Industrial Design over the design of equipment.
