§ Mr. Masonasked the Minister of Aviation to what extent independent airlines are making it their practice to register their aircraft overseas so as not to be subject to the regulations and safety standards operative in the United Kingdom; and what steps he proposes to take to ensure that aircraft so registered are still required to comply with these regulations.
§ Mr. WoodhouseThere is no evidence to suggest that British operators are adopting this practice. Were they to do so the national authorities concerned would be consulted and, if necessary, permission to operate into this country would be withheld.
