§ Mr. MaclayAccidents in the home caused 1,050 deaths in Scotland during 1960, made up as follows:
Poisoning by solid and liquid substances 73 Poisoning by gases and vapours 196 Falls 514 Fire, explosion, hot substance, etc. 93 Suffocation 143 Other and unspecified accidents 31 Total 1,050 There is no means of ascertaining the total number of injuries so caused.
