§ Lord John HopeThe sandpit is sprayed with disinfectant once a fortnight, and the sand is changed when necessary; it will be changed again very shortly. I am also examining the possibility of providing a fence round the sandpit to keep out dogs. My parks staff are under instructions to keep the grass in as clean and tidy a condition as possible, and this is done as far as the staffing position allows.
