§ Mr. Ellis Smithasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what action he takes to assist in the provision of new accommodation for people living in houses which are subject to demolition orders under the Housing Act.
§ Mr. BrookeWhilst the Housing Act, 1957, does not expressly require local authorities to rehouse people living in houses subject to demolition orders, in practice they recognise a moral obligation to do so, and I fully support them in this.
