§ Mr. W. Reidasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many drowning accidents have occurred in the Monk-land Canal, Glasgow, during the past three years; whether arrangements have yet been completed with Glasgow Corporation regarding filling it in; and when the work will commence.
§ Mr. MaclayDuring the years 1958 to 1960 there were five drowning accidents 113W in the part of the Monkland Canal which is within Glasgow. There have been no accidents this year. I understand that Glasgow Corporation has not reached any decision about filling the canal in.
